Frank A. Leavitt, Esq.
Born in Moscow, Idaho while his father attended law school at the University of Idaho, Attorney Frank A. Leavitt’s Idaho roots run deep. Frank is a third-generation family lawyer and a direct descendant of the late Nevada Supreme Court Justice Myron E. Leavitt.
Prior to founding Gem State Family Law in Eagle, Idaho, Frank forged his litigation skillset in the fires of Sin City – the matrimonial capital of the world – Las Vegas, Nevada.
Frank focuses his practice on both simple and complex Divorce and Child Custody issues and has gained vast expertise practicing almost exclusively in this field since first being admitted to practice almost ten years ago. Frank has handled hundreds of various family law matters ranging from the simple and straightforward to the most complex matters involving eight figure estates and multijurisdictional, even international, issues. Frank has successfully taken dozens of cases to trial, has handled over ten appeals, and has successfully settled hundreds of other matters satisfactorily for his clients.
Frank’s approach to Family Law matters is to avoid a fight if possible, but if you can’t avoid it – go in loaded for bear. Being the best prepared to litigate a Family Law matter is often the best way to secure a settlement in your favor. Frank’s extensive experience helps him assess and advise you on whether it is in your best interest to settle your case or take it to trial in Court.

Outside of the office, Frank enjoys hiking, camping, backpacking, rock climbing, skiing, golfing, and spending time with his wife and three beautiful children.
